Job summary

Ingredion is seeking a Logistics Intern to support North American logistics strategy, including bulk and dry van, inter-modal and LTL, rail and international modes. You will work with senior management to support strategy using continuous improvement methods to control cost and improve service levels.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field, able to work 40 hours per week during the summer, with Lean Six Sigma awareness and skills in Excel, Power BI and Access.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a GPA around 3.0/4.0 preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hrs per week during the summer internship term.
• Experience or knowledge with Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma).
• Strong data handling skills with Excel/PowerBI and basic Access knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performing ad-hoc analysis for operations including pricing requests, dedicated fleet analysis, and network analysis.
• Understanding larger strategies and how they are operationally executed.
• Planning, supporting and developing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working with the management team to codify and institutionalize standard methodologies within the logistics group.
• Offering data-supported, out of the box solutions to logistics' daily challenges.
• Collaborating with multi-functional teams to improve logistics delivery for internal and external customers.
