Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Marathon Petroleum (MPC/MPLX) internship/co-op is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program (Dec 2026 or May 2027 graduate).
• Zero to three years of related experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of projects through the MPMP phases: Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation, Start-up/Close-out.
• Collaborates with departments to vet resource estimates, schedules, and safety impacts.
• Prepares bid requests for materials, labor, and equipment and evaluates proposals.
• Leads project safety meetings and supports HES goals.
• Troubleshoots issues and optimizes processes using sound engineering practices.
