Supports the care delivery process by performing care support activities, including non-clinical tasks required to support care delivery. Responsibilities include transporting patients, belongings, and deceased individuals to and from departments, assisting with patient readiness for transport, and ensuring proper patient identification with I.D. bands.
Manages resources such as supplies, medications (excluding Scheduled Controlled Substances), linen, equipment, and other materials needed for patient care and operational activities. Maintains current knowledge of supplies and equipment, supports data entry for performance metrics, and suggests improvements to optimize operations.
Participates actively as a team member, supporting clinical staff, mentoring new staff, and providing excellent customer service. Ensures cleanliness and organization of supply rooms, equipment storage, and patient areas, maintaining a safe environment compliant with OSHA, Department of Health, and Joint Commission regulations.

Geisinger offers a Logistics Specialist position with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum hourly rate of $15.25 with increases for experienced individuals, and up to $2 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Up to $40,000 in financial support is available for nursing education.
