Job description

Responsibilities

1. Support the care delivery process by performing required activities related to care support.
2. Assist with non-clinical activities necessary for care delivery.
3. Transport patients, belongings, and deceased individuals to and from departments.
4. Help floor staff prepare patients for transport, ensuring proper patient identification and I.D. bands.
5. Manage resources in assigned clinical areas, including procurement, transport, storage, preparation, cleaning, and maintenance assistance.
6. Handle supplies, medications (excluding Scheduled Controlled Substances), linens, equipment, and other materials needed for patient care and activities.
7. Maintain current knowledge of supplies, equipment, services, and operations of Support Services departments.
8. Support performance metrics through accurate data entry.
9. Identify opportunities for improvement, propose solutions, and assist in implementing process enhancements to reduce waste.
10. Participate actively as a team member, supporting clinical staff, mentoring new staff, and providing excellent customer service.
11. Keep supply rooms, storage areas, patient rooms, and other areas clean and organized.
12. Create a safe environment by maintaining a neat, orderly, and functional workspace.
13. Follow OSHA, Department of Health, and Joint Commission regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

Geisinger offers a Logistics Specialist position with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a starting wage of $15.25 per hour with potential increases for experienced individuals, and up to $2 per hour shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Up to $40,000 in financial support for nursing education is also available.

• Incentive: $2,500 sign-on bonus paid in two installments, with certain stipulations.
• Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Schedule: Includes weekends and holidays rotation.
