Job description

Logistics Specialist II | 100% ON-SITE

Job Responsibilities

  1. Track and communicate estimated time of arrivals of domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  2. Ensure the swift and accurate completion of customer orders, acting with a positive approach to resolve delivery issues.
  3. Focused efforts on parcel controls, administrator maintenance, pickup adherence, proper service level utilization, and expedite shipments to meet customer / BU requirements.
  4. Support and handle freight damage claims efficiently to minimize impact on operations.
  5. Build and communicate detailed final delivery carrier instructions at a product line and SKU level.
  6. Use SAP, BAAN, COGNOS, and other transportation suppliers' databases to find opportunities for improving processes and improving customer happiness by developing diverse reports of different complexity levels.
  7. Document standard work procedures and continuous improvement efforts to align with both site and functional objectives.
  8. Collaborate with supervisors to apply the PPI Business System, improving daily operations and reducing clerical work.
  9. Partner closely with employees across various departments and functions as well as with external customers to ensure seamless operations.
  10. Perform all job duties consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values, maintaining adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  1. Proven experience in logistics or a related field.
  2. Strong communication skills to successfully implement and track delivery schedules.
  3. Demonstrated ability to develop and analyze reports to drive process improvement.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external customers to achieve ambitious goals.
  5. Dedication to ethical practices and adherence to ISO and regulatory standards.
  6. Proficiency in using SAP, BAAN, COGNOS, or similar databases is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Ohio is $50,000.00-$65,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
