V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Logistics Specialist II to join our team!

Position Scope and Charter:

We are seeking candidates for the position of Logistics Specialist II at the Indianapolis site. The individual will be a team lead for one of two key Logistics Asset areas. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and distributing work to meet internal and external customer needs, staff training, and coordinating activities throughout the site.

Essential Tasks:

The following is a sample of the various tasks required of the Logistics Specialist II. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated with the role.

  • Lead the coordination of daily work tasking, mainly through direct supervision, with 10+ bargaining unit and support team members.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material throughout the facility.
  • Support and promote a culture of safety, quality, and DFAR compliance.
  • Plan, organize, and manage tasking to ensure work is accomplished in line with organizational requirements.
  • Utilize analytical skills along with prioritizing work assignments and bargaining unit tasking.
  • May perform interviews and make staffing recommendations.
  • Share key organizational communications with teams and ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Continuously improve processes, extending to other key functional areas.
  • Maintain data necessary for compliance with various facility certifications.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Assess, maintain, and develop PKI for continual improvement and work analysis.
  • Perform data entry and system maintenance.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time following procedures and schedules.
  • Create individual and team metrics for supervisor review.
  • Assist in maintaining records for internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Assess, communicate, and address the needs of team members.
  • Execute strategic troubleshooting and resolution of fundamental challenges.

Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Minimum of 5 years' experience using SAP systems and planning tasking. At least 2 years of experience leading and developing a team.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Proficient with SAP or similar ERP software.

Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concerns clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for handling difficult discussions.

Security Requirements:

  • The candidate must meet requirements to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
