Job description

Position Overview

Summary : Under general direction, the Logistics Specialist II is responsible for the accurate receiving, packing, shipping, and external distribution of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and non-GMP materials in support of company operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in executing manufacturing vial pulls, packing shipments, and product storage as directed by internal schedules.
  • Ensure all finished good stock creations are accurately received, stored, and documented.
  • Provide shipping KPI’s to Supply Chain management.
  • Ensures accurate review and monitoring of DeltaV building management system and warehouse TCE’s.
  • Perform system transactions and ensure the timely and accurate order fulfillment, documentation, closure of outstanding issues and effective inventory system.
  • Comply with safe handling and storage requirements, cGMP/ISO, local & corporate policies, and environmental/other related regulations.
  • Perform the coordination and monitoring of all inbound and outbound shipments, including the detailed packing and tracking of cold chain shipment.
  • Create Transfer Orders and Requests.
  • Perform cycle counting and inventory audits.
  • All other duties as required.

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Possess valid driving license.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Must be able to work weekends, off-shifts, overtime, and a rotating on-call schedule, as required.
  • Handle and work with hazardous materials and chemicals per OSHA guidelines.
  • Experience prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
  • Use hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and up to 60 pounds with assistance.
  • Work in cold temperatures.
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Work in high places.
  • Attendance is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with at least (5) five years of work experience, with
  • (4) four years of relevant Shipping, Import/Export, or Warehouse experience, and
  • (2) two years of cGMP or regulated warehouse experience, and
  • Working knowledge of ERP application software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
  • PSA forklift license.
