Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our Michigan-based team. The role involves executing warehouse operations in a lean manufacturing setting, including receiving, picking, inventory management and shipping finished goods with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include SOP and cGMP adherence, forklift operation, hazardous materials handling, and SAP-based transactions. Training shifts occur on day shift before transitioning to AM weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in basic math, reading comprehension and written communication.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and general computer usage.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Positive attitude and effective interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in compliance with SOPs, safety protocols and regulatory standards (cGMPs).
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Handle hazardous materials per DOT regulations and internal procedures.
• Execute material movements and transactions using SAP.
• Load/unload trucks and transport materials with forklifts and transfer trucks.
• Organize and store materials in designated locations.
• Pick, deliver and return materials for production orders.
• Prepare shipments and manage parcel deliveries (FedEx, UPS).
• Cross-train in shipping and receiving functions as needed.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and EHS departments.
• Conduct self-audits and participate in inspections.
• Engage in safety programs, Kaizen events and process improvements.
• Support warehouse scheduling and operational objectives.
