V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Logistics Specialist I to join our team!

Position Scope and Charter:

We are seeking candidates for the position of Logistics Specialist I at the Indianapolis site. The individual will be part of the stores and warehousing team. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and distributing work to meet internal and external customer needs, staff training, and coordinating activities throughout the site.

Essential Tasks:

The following are typical responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the role if they are comparable or logically related.

  1. Coordinate tasks with 8+ team members.
  2. Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of materials throughout the facility.
  3. Support and promote a culture of safety, quality, and DFAR compliance.
  4. Organize and manage tasks to ensure work is completed according to organizational standards.
  5. Use analytical skills and MRP requirements to prioritize work assignments and overall material handling tasks.
  6. Conduct interviews and make staffing recommendations.
  7. Communicate key organizational information to teams and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  8. Develop action plans for continuous improvement.
  9. Maintain data for compliance with facility certifications.
  10. Perform related duties as required.
  11. Assess PKI for ongoing improvement and work analysis.
  12. Enter and maintain data related to systems and physical inventory.
  13. Utilize tools and resources for daily problem solving.
Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements:
  • University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, including evaluating MRP requirements and planning tasks, and leading a team.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
Communication Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concerns clearly to various audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for handling difficult discussions.
Security Requirements:
  • Must meet requirements for U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements:
