LOGISTICIAN
The Logistician will support AISR (Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance)and SATCOM (Military Satellite Communications) for NIWC Atlantic (Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic) in North Charleston, SC.This position will provide comprehensive logistical support, including inventory management, supply chain analysis, equipment maintenance tracking, procurement support, and the preparation, review, and maintenance of key logistics documentation for SATCOM ground terminals, modems, routers, switches, encryption and related equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply chain management – manage and track levels of critical DATCOM components
Equipment maintenance tracking – maintain a comprehensive database of SATCOM equipment
Procurement Support – assist in the preparation of procurement requests
Inventory management – conduct regular physical inventories of SATCOM equipment and materials
Transportation & Distribution – coordinate the transportation and distribution of SATCOM equipment and materials to various locations
Data Management & Reporting – maintain accurate and up to date data in logistics databases and systems
Logistics Documentation – prepare, review, and update logistics documentation
Licenses & Warranties – manage and track for SATCOM equipment
Technical Manuals & Documentation – maintain library for SATCOM equipment
Disposition Plans – develop plans for the proper disposition of obsolete or excess equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business management, or related field (years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
Desired certification:
Certified Professional Logistician (CPL)
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Experience with SATCOM and supporting military or government programs with Logistics support for DoD and satellite communications systems.
Possess strong organizational skills, and a detailed understanding of logistics principles
