We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our Wilmington team.

The Logistics Specialist will coordinate US shipments across all transport modes (Land, Air, Ocean, etc.) and collaborate directly with N&B IFF Third Party Logistics Providers, Freight Forwarders, and Import Brokers to ensure all orders are processed accurately, timely, and cost-effectively.

This role requires compliance with IFF guidelines, US Export/Import regulations, and customer and stock demand requirements. The position may also involve supporting logistics projects focused on process improvements.

Responsibilities/Description:
  1. Liaise between Procurement and logistics to ensure competitive rates and defined service levels for all shipping modes and destinations.
  2. Coordinate with Procurement and vendors to optimize transportation.
  3. Collaborate with traffic personnel at regional shipping points.
  4. Maintain transportation rates and fuel surcharges within the SAP system.
  5. Manage routes and route determinations in SAP.
  6. Audit import processes at the Regional Distribution Center (RDC).
  7. Review and audit RDC invoices.
  8. Resolve issues related to freight forwarder and warehousing invoices with accounts payable and TRAX.
  9. Interface with teams across Global Supply Chain Planning, Customer Relations, Transportation, Warehousing, and Sales.
  10. Participate in the regional logistics team as needed.
  11. Analyze and report on monthly performance indicators such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and completeness of shipped orders.
  12. Support logistics and related functions as required.
  13. Maintain work instructions and procedures, supporting ISO certification.
  14. Assist in maintaining Global Warehouse Manuals.
  15. Provide backup support to functional groups as needed.
  16. Oversee inbound and outbound performance of 3PLs and manage open order processes.
  17. Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories, ensuring SAP and 3PL WMS alignment.
  18. Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly.
  19. Coordinate monthly KPI processes with the 3PL warehouse and internal logistics teams.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or International Trade.
  2. At least 1 year of experience in logistics, emphasizing transportation, warehousing, inventory management systems, and dangerous goods handling.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and automated systems.
  4. Fluent in business English communication.
  5. Fluent in the local language.
  6. Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Training / Certifications:
  1. SAP basic training in relevant functional areas.
  2. ERP systems training.
