Actalent is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support inventory control and material flow at Rockville, MD. You will receive, verify, store, and distribute parts, maintain accurate records, and help production schedules run smoothly.

The role is contract-to-hire, onsite, with a pay range of $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of inventory experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualifications

The Government Inventory Control Associate plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient movement of parts and materials throughout the organization. This position involves receiving, verifying, storing, and distributing materials to internal departments and external customers while ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, including unpacking, verifying, and recording parts and materials.
• Inspect and compare shipment contents against packing slips, receiving reports, and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Record shipment and receiving data, including discrepancies or damages, for reporting and accounting purposes.

The position requires the ability to lift and/or carry up to 45 lbs and involves extended periods at a computer workstation. It includes various physical activities such as walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion, and kneeling. The role demands accurate and efficient typing skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
