The Logistics Specialist supports shipping and receiving operations by handling both physical and administrative tasks related to inbound and outbound materials. This role manages the receipt, documentation, and distribution of goods, acts as a company courier for mail and packages, and assists with packaging outbound freight. The position works closely with laboratories and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and safe movement of materials, including chemicals, hazardous materials, and laboratory equipment.
This role is fully on-site in a lab and logistics environment, supporting the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies. The position involves regular exposure to hazardous materials and laboratory-related items, and requires comfort working in proximity to animals. The standard shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The work includes physical tasks such as lifting at least 40 pounds, unloading equipment, and operating or assisting with forklifts and other material handling equipment. You will use computers, tracking systems, and collaboration tools to manage shipments and communicate with internal teams. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The role offers two weeks of paid time off plus 11 paid holidays, along with the potential for renewal through the end of 2026, contributing to a stable and supportive work setting.
This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
