Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination within our North American network. Weekend shifts are required, with potential remote work depending on business needs.

You will maintain customer profiles, monitor loads, and communicate with account managers, receivers, and drivers to ensure timely, intact deliveries. This role requires solid logistics basics and clear written communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year of logistics experience.
• General knowledge of the transportation industry.
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to follow written, verbal or diagrammed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders.
• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; inform receivers and customers of load status.
• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries; verify loads arrive on time and in good condition.
• Take driver check calls; validate load data before marking loads delivered for accounting.
• Investigate overages, shortages, damages and complete relevant documentation.
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments; accept/decline loads per direction from account managers.
• Provide detailed routing directions to properly guide drivers.

Schedule:

Saturday - Monday, working 12:00 PM (noon) to 11:59 PM

Weekend shifts may be performed remotely, subject to business needs.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders


• Update account managers on problem loads and what actions have been taken, update receivers and customers on status of loads


• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition


• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes


• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation


• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers


• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 1 year of logistics experience

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• General knowledge of the transportation industry


• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence


• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
