Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support logistics operations across North America. You will enter loads, route and dispatch, and coordinate traffic to ensure efficient movement of shipments.

You will also monitor pickups and deliveries and keep account managers informed of load status and issues. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of logistics experience, a high school diploma, and a solid understanding of transportation processes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of logistics experience.
• Experience maintaining and updating customer profiles and loads.
• Ability to communicate status updates to account managers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Enter loads from customer tenders and maintain profiles.
• Inform account managers of problem loads and actions taken.
• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries and verify on-time arrival.
• Take driver check calls and validate load data for payments.
• Investigate overages, shortages, damages and document outcomes.
• Schedule and adjust delivery appointments per guidance from managers.
• Provide detailed routing instructions to drivers.

What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders
• Update account managers on problem loads and what actions have been taken, update receivers and customers on status of loads
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition
• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers
• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

At a Minimum, You’ll Need

• 1 year of logistics experience

It’d Be Great If You Also Have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• General knowledge of the transportation industry
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
