Job summary

Trex in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping operations, ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards, and coordinate the activities of shipping personnel. You will act as primary liaison between Trex, 3PL partners, and management, monitor schedules to meet customer demand, and resolve issues to maintain high service levels.

This role requires attention to detail, problem solving, and strong communication; MS Office skills and prior logistics supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• 2-5 years of logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate and execute daily activities of shipping personnel.
• Skilled in MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate shipping personnel daily activities and vacations.
• Act as liaison between Logistics Techs and management, other departments and external parties.
• Manage day to day operations of the Trex shipping office.
• Monitor shipping schedules to meet customer demand.
• Act as primary point of contact between Trex and 3PL.
• Resolve shipping issues to ensure high levels of customer service and develop proactive shipping solutions.
• Communicate information to different individuals, departments, and external parties.
• Complete records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Work with external auditors to supply requested paperwork promptly.
• Prepare outbound sales orders and customs paperwork.
• Maintain records to meet Trex data retention policies.
• Recommend and assist in implementing operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot, compile data, and report system-related issues.
• Promote continual improvement within the department and the company.
• May assist LTs in shipping activities when necessary.
