Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing Group LLC is seeking a Logistics and Shipping Lead in St. Johnsbury, VT to support the Logistics and Inventory Supervisor. You will coordinate shipments, manage inventory, and maintain shipping records for timely delivery and accuracy.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and data-driven reporting, with hands-on leadership to develop staff and ensure safety and compliance.

• Proficiency in gathering and assessing data and translating this into documented reports and applicable KPI’s.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations, all work must be done thinking “Safety First”.
• Plan and coordinate, on a daily basis, the most effective transportation with LTL and sub-contract carriers.
• Plan and coordinate, on a daily basis, the most effective transportation with organizational vehicles.
• Plan and coordinate, on a daily basis, the most effective yard employee work arrangement.
• Manage and ensure all work orders are complete and accurate once they are brought to shipping.
• Maintain neat and accurate shipping records including all daily logs/GPS/Scale Tickets.
• Provide an emphasis on driver safety training and reporting across affiliated companies.
• Coordinate with the Logistics and Inventory Supervisor and Accounting Department on issues related to vehicle leases, accidents, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage the company’s vehicle safety program.
• Drive the vision and culture of our company in order to deliver great customer service.
• Develop employees by ensuring proper training and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Ensure all company policy and procedures are followed by self and all employees.
• Participate and lead in assigned work projects.
