Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate I in the United States (Nevada). This entry-level role manages receiving, storing, moving, and shipping orders with attention to detail and customer service.

It maintains inventory records and resolves discrepancies while ensuring accurate shipping documentation. Responsibilities include preparing shipping documents, verifying shipments, updating records, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience recommended.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
• Basic understanding of warehouse practices.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification in a timely manner.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, labels, customs forms) with accuracy.
• Verify inbound/outbound documentation and materials for shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.
• Resolve inventory or documentation discrepancies.
• Process incoming shipments and coordinate issue resolution with lead/supervisor/buyer.
• Verify shipment contents against records (manifests, invoices, PO) for accuracy.
• Deliver orders to the appropriate department.
• Move freight and materials using manual handling or equipment.
• Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies with vendors and carriers.
• Pack, seal, and label packages for shipment in compliance with regulations.
• Process outgoing shipments and resolve any paperwork discrepancies.
• Determine appropriate shipping methods and carriers.
• Learn hazardous materials handling and relevant regulations (DOT, IATA).
• Record shipment data for reporting and accounting.
• Use vendor systems and ERP to process orders.
• Follow directions and stay flexible with varying jobs.
• Observe safety guidelines and company policies.
