Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a logistics professional to monitor and coordinate shipments, ensuring materials move on schedule. You will verify shipments, contact vendors and shippers, and collaborate with transportation providers to prevent delays and ensure timely distribution of materials.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, strong communication with vendors, and proactive problem solving for delays.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in logistics or supply chain.
• Experience coordinating shipments with vendors and shippers.
• Ability to communicate with department heads and transportation providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitors flow or shipment of materials to conform with schedule.
• Checks status of orders, and ensures that merchandise, supplies, and equipment are forwarded on specified shipping dates by contacting department heads, vendors, and shippers.
• Verifies shipment of goods on specified dates by contacting vendors by mail, email, phone, or visit.
• Interacts and talks with transportation company to preclude delays in transit, puts tracers on shipment in cases of en route delays, and may arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival.
