Summary

Lincoln Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a Logistics Scheduling Associate at our corporate distribution center in Euclid, Ohio. The Logistics Scheduling Associate plays a key role in supporting the routing and shipment creation for all modes of transportation. In this role, you will help develop processes and metrics for team to drive efficiency.

What You Will Do

As a Logistics Scheduling Associate, you will coordinate with transportation providers to ensure efficient and prompt movement of shipments. Additionally, you will:

  • Convert deliveries into shipments in a timely fashion for all modes of transportation
  • Tracking and correcting shipping errors
  • Preparing bill of lading and invoices
  • File and organize shipping documents
  • Make expedited shipping arrangements when necessary
  • Respond to customer and company personnel inquiries or refer them to the proper channels
  • Follow up with transportation providers on missed pickups or deliveries
  • Create custom documents for boarder clearance for Canadian truck loads, LTL & UPS
  • Help with customer preferred routing and scheduling - Amazon / Grainger
  • Work directly with customers, sales offices and order departments to rectify discrepancies
  • Play a significant role in making proposals implementing solutions, which improve customer service, improve the flow of material and reduce costs
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed by Management
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum two years professional experience
  • Hazmat Training and Certification for IATA, IMDG and DOT preferred
  • Consistently deliver excellent guidance and exhibit strong decision-making skills to support organizational deadlines and goals
  • Exemplary verbal and telephone communication skills
  • Working knowledge of office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn Warehouse Management System, SAP, Data 2 logistics
  • Ability to perform extremely detailed work with a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume environment while driving quality and customer service
  • Ability to multitask effectively, assess and prioritize daily challenges, and take initiative to resolve issues necessary to ensure critical tasks are completed
  • Ability to train and issue instructions to department personnel
  • Ability to address and resolve product shipping issues
  • Flexibility and cross training required with occasional on call and Saturday scheduling requirements
