Job summary

Fetch’s Operations team creates a safe environment both Over the Road (OTR) and Under the Roof (UTR) that supports safe, efficient, and healthy behaviors while empowering employees to take a proactive role in strengthening our safety culture. We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Safety Coordinator to support our Health, Safety, and Environmental programs.

Safety at Fetch is a team effort: this role depends as much on relationships as it does on regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of safety experience, or 3+ years in OSHA, DOT compliance, safety policy and procedure development, and loss control.
• 1+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, project coordination, or a related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour and First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or the ability to obtain both within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to conduct training and influence teams at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurability standards; able to travel up to 25%.
• Flexibility regarding shifts and working hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call incident response.
• Nice to have: CHST, OHST, certification; EHS or fleet telematics software experience; forklift train-the-trainer; multi-site operations experience; Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership to implement OSHA requirements and safety culture.
• Partner with Transportation, HR and Facilities to integrate safe practices into daily operations.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Support OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and environmental regulations including OSHA 300/300A and driver files.
• Assist incident and near-miss investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety communications; support training initiatives and emergency preparedness.
• Lead new hire safety orientation and forklift safety training.
• Chair the safety committee and manage meetings and action items.
• Monitor findings and training completion; report status to leadership.
• Compile safety metrics and support safety projects and pilot programs.
