Job summary

ARG Industrial in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our 100% employee-owned team. You will handle shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks with attention to accuracy and safety.

Under supervision of the Branch Manager, you will prepare shipments, verify bills of lading, unload goods, maintain records, and operate pallet jacks and forklifts. Experience in inventory management and customer service is valued.

Qualifications

• Pass drug screenings throughout employment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in inventory management preferred.
• Customer service and troubleshooting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments using economical methods and safe packing.
• Verify bills of lading and shipment accuracy.
• Receive and unload incoming materials and verify against POs.
• Sort, count, package, label, and log inventory.
• Inspect shipments for damages and notify issues.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to load/unload.
• Maintain shipping/receiving records and reports.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
