Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Logistics Project Manager to support our Robotics organization in Sunnyvale or Burlingame, CA. You will own the end-to-end PO lifecycle from issuance to final delivery, ensuring materials move quickly and with full visibility across stakeholders.

You will coordinate with Procurement, external vendors, and Logistics Operations, drive improvements to the PO-to-delivery process, and lead strategic logistics projects for robotics programs while maintaining dashboards and risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
• Experience managing purchase orders and procurement workflows end-to-end.
• Experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing logistics environments.
• Experience with customs/import-export processes for hardware components.
• Reporting and communication skills.
• Experience automating workflows with AI.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End PO Management: Own and track purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring on-time performance.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise between Procurement, vendors, and Logistics Operations for seamless handoffs.
• Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance and drive resolution to maintain material flow.
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to accelerate movement and reduce delays.
• Strategic Project Leadership: Lead logistics projects supporting Robotics priorities, including onboarding and routing optimization.
• Reporting & Visibility: Maintain dashboards and provide status updates on PO health and milestones.
• Risk Mitigation: Anticipate disruptions and develop contingency plans.

• 5 plus years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management; Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders and/or procurement workflows end-to-end; Experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing logistics environments; Experience with customs/import-export processes for hardware components.

Role Overview

• Client is seeking a Logistics Project Manager to support client's Robotics organization.
• This role will own the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle — from the moment a PO is issued through final delivery at destination — ensuring materials move quickly, efficiently, and with full visibility across all stakeholders.
• The Logistics Project Manager will serve as the central coordination point between Procurement, external vendors, and Logistics Operations, driving streamlined material flow and removing bottlenecks.
• In addition to PO management, this role will lead strategic logistics projects aligned to the evolving needs of the Robotics program.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End PO Management: Own and track purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring on-time performance and proactively escalating risks or delays.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between Procurement, vendors, and Logistics Operations to ensure seamless handoffs and clear communication at every stage.
• Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance against delivery commitments, flag issues early, and drive resolution to maintain material flow.
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the PO-to-delivery pipeline and implement improvements that accelerate material movement and reduce cycle times.
• Strategic Project Leadership: Lead logistics-related projects that support Robotics organization priorities — including new supplier onboarding, warehouse/routing optimization, and scaling logistics for new programs.
• Reporting & Visibility: Maintain accurate tracking dashboards and provide regular status updates to stakeholders on PO health, delivery timelines, and project milestones.
• Risk Mitigation: Anticipate supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to protect delivery schedules.

Must-Have Skills

• Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders and/or procurement workflows end-to-end.
• Experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing logistics environments.
• Experience with customs/import-export processes for hardware components.

• Experience automating workflows with AI.

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
