Job summary

The Project Logistics Manager will oversee receipt, storage, inventory control, and handover of project materials across construction sites in Arlington, VA. • Coordinate and supervise the safe offloading and receipt of shipments at project sites.
• Complete inventory counts and receipt documentation for materials delivered onsite.
• Perform routine inventory checks and reconcile inventories with records.
• Maintain onsite inventory records in Oracle and SAP.
• Coordinate material handovers to contractors with proper documentation.
• Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, site, and construction documentation.
• Support site-startup logistics, including containers and supplies for onsite offices.
• Work with vendors to improve warehouse and logistics performance and efficiency.
• Develop and standardize warehousing and logistics processes across projects.
• Manage logistics-related budgets within approved parameters.
• Manage damage and cargo insurance claims and RMAs; ensure compliance with safety requirements.

The Project Logistics Manager will oversee the receipt, storage, inventory control, and handover of project materials across construction sites.

The role will coordinate closely with suppliers, site teams, contractors, and service providers to ensure materials arrive safely, are accurately recorded, and remain available when needed to support project execution.

This is a hands-on, operational role requiring strong documentation, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across active construction sites and warehouses.

• Maintain regular communication with suppliers and provide site teams with timely notice of upcoming deliveries.
• Coordinate and supervise the safe offloading and receipt of shipments at project sites.
• Complete inventory counts and receipt documentation for materials delivered onsite.
• Perform routine inventory checks and reconcile physical inventory against company records.
• Maintain accurate onsite inventory records in Oracle and other applicable systems.
• Coordinate material handovers to contractors and ensure appropriate documentation is completed and maintained.
• Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, site, and construction documentation.
• Support site-startup logistics, including containers and supplies for onsite offices.
• Work with vendors to improve warehouse and logistics performance, controls, and efficiency.
• Develop and standardize warehousing and logistics processes across assigned projects.
• Manage logistics-related budgets within approved project parameters.
• Manage damage claims, cargo insurance claims, and OEM return merchandise authorization processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, U.S. Department of Transportation, and site-specific safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Experience coordinating oversized or heavy freight.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, inventory controls, and materials-tracking processes.
• Working knowledge of applicable OSHA and U.S. Department of Transportation requirements.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with consistent attention to accuracy.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
