As a Logistics Program Coordinator, you will help the Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) develop and implement programs, procedures, and training to improve efficiency and resource accountability and reduce waste. You’ll develop the infrastructure and training to support these improvements. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to leading complex and often ambiguous projects, demanding exceptional critical thinking to navigate challenges and devise effective strategies. We are looking for someone who can organize activities, develop processes, and facilitate solutions that will help the department serve the growing community.

We Require
Two years of experience in resource management to include capital assets, non-capital assets, and supplies
One year of experience in leading projects
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, asset management, or supply chain management
A combination of related post-secondary education and job-related experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis

Experience in developing and delivering training in-person, online, and in a telework environment
Experience in project work implementing new programs, databases, and procedures that increase efficiency and accountability, reduce waste, and save time, money, and resources
Job Contributions
Plan and implement phased objectives and strategies to adopt new resource management systems and build the supporting program structure
Facilitate and conduct project implementation meetings and presentations
Develop and promote change management awareness campaigns
Assist department staff with asset identification, tagging, and system integration
May plan for or conduct resource upgrades and replacements based on expiration dates, lifecycles, capabilities, and compatibility with other systems and programs
Develop and deliver training and information materials to promote understanding of services and requirements
Develop operational and auditing processes and procedures
Facilitate and conduct annual inventory, periodic spot checks, and audits
Research best practices and lessons learned to streamline and improve processes
Track and report program implementation progress, concerns, and identified gaps
Monitor contracts and participate in budget planning and tracking
Manage or coordinate other activities concerning facilities, fleet management, and phone/network
Supervise, train, and mentor staff
Working Conditions
Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
Work primarily occurs in an office setting, with occasional travel to other department facilities in the county and work outside
Opportunities to telework part-time are workload dependent
Must be able to participate in emergency response training as scheduled and be available to respond as directed in the event of a public health emergency.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by the time of hire
Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
