Job summary

Ecovyst is seeking a Logistics Manager in Long Beach, CA to oversee planning, shipping sulfuric acid products, and the production of aluminum sulfate, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate operations, manage inventory, and develop KPIs while leading a team across logistics and laboratory analysis functions. The role requires DOT Hazmat proficiency and experience in a production environment, with SAP/CMMS familiarity encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or similar field.
• Experience in a production environment is required; chemical manufacturing is a plus.
• Proficiency with DOT Hazmat regulations and related safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize departmental work in logistics to ship sulfuric acid products and produce aluminum sulfate safely and efficiently.
• Forecast inbound/outbound railcar movements and coordinate loading plans with operations and commercial teams.
• Attend customer meetings and liaise with commercial teams on issues.
• Develop inventory and production schedules for the Alum plant.
• Prepare and monitor departmental KPIs and lead daily problem-solving meetings.
• Work with SMEs to design and maintain equipment; use CMMS/SAP for maintenance tasks.
• Oversee contractor performance and collaborate with drivers and carrier management.
• Support raw material sourcing and ensure documentation for shipments.
• Ensure DOT compliance and participate in audits; support HSE initiatives.
