Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Indianapolis is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to effectively coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements, maximize service and cost performance, and coordinate shuttle services for customer orders and inventory between carriers and consignment locations.

The role requires building daily load plans, securing carrier tenders, coordinating appointments, and maintaining clear communication with internal teams and clients to meet delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 0-3 years of logistics industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate daily load plan through EFMS, Topex, or TMS system or Red PrairieRoute interactive.
• Expedite requests and ensure principal carrier selections are honored.
• Coordinate appointment acquisition to ensure adherence to customer delivery requirements.
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to ensure consistency in direction and expectations.
• Coordinate carrier pickup times and provide daily shipment plan to distribution center.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to improve financial performance and service levels.
• Identify compliance issues and propose remedies or action plans to Operations supervisor.
• Yard and shuttle service supervision.
