Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. in El Paso is seeking a Logistics Planner III to coordinate NA freight import-export operations, oversee standard and expedited modes, and drive QCD improvements.

You will support budgeting, data management, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and packaging teams. Required: a Bachelor’s degree, 5–7 years in logistics, business accounting familiarity, and strong Excel skills; fluent Spanish; Japanese a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5–7 years of professional experience.
• Budgeting, business planning, or accounting experience.
• Strong business acumen and math in an accounting environment.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Japanese a plus.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Create NA logistics plans for standard routes (overland and air).
• Create plans for abnormal routes (expedited air and truck).
• Maintain vendor management system focusing on QCD and bids.
• Maintain vendor cost tables and KPIs.
• Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
• Plan and manage finished goods packaging with GPP and RM teams.
• Support budgeting and reporting for NA Operations.
• Coordinate and maintain policies and work instructions.
