Job summary

Linde plc in New York region is seeking a Logistics Planner to manage distribution planning and daily scheduling for customer deliveries. You will coordinate with drivers, monitor inventories, and ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and regulatory programs while optimizing cost and service levels.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, data accuracy in the logistics system, and weekly updates to the planning team on demand and outages.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of planning experience in a busy Logistics department.
• Two year college degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success with KPIs (dependability, QARs, call volume, driver complaints).

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for distribution planning, system planning, and the execution of these plans.
• Manage bulk gas inventories at Linde customers; utilize planning tools.
• Develop a schedule for daily distribution of products to customers for 100% supply reliability at minimum cost.
• Notify management of situations affecting supply and seek actions.
• Ensure deliveries comply with Quality Assurance and regulatory programs.
• Initiate Quality Incidents and Near Misses when applicable.
• Support Linde's safety goals in planning.
• Receive inbound calls from customers/drivers and take appropriate actions.
• Monitor Driver Chat messages and respond accordingly.
• Book drivers on tours in line with contracts and DOT regulations.
• Review daily vehicle/driver resources to meet demand at minimum cost.
• Review plant inventory, outages, and demand to adjust tactical plans.
• Interact with drivers and supervisors on logistics matters; produce Fleet Effectiveness reports.
• Identify and correct data inaccuracies in Praxial’s Advanced Logistics System (PALS).
• Identify opportunities to improve volume per trip, reduce miles, and minimize delay hours.
• Provide weekly updates on demand, outages, and inventory; give feedback to drivers.
