Job summary

Linde Corporate in Tonawanda, NY is seeking a Logistics Planner to develop and optimize daily distribution plans, manage inventories, and coordinate with drivers and management to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

You will monitor demand, outages, and resources, respond to driver communications, and prepare fleet reports while upholding QA and safety standards. Open to shift flexibility for initial 2nd/3rd then potential 1st shift based on performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service experience with internal/external customers preferred.
• Logistics, transportation, supply chain, dispatch, or operations experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and adjust daily distribution plans for safe, reliable, cost-effective delivery.
• Monitor and manage bulk gas inventories to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Review demand, outages, driver availability, and resources to optimize fleet utilization.
• Coordinate with management, drivers, and supervisors to address supply concerns and resources.
• Respond to customer and driver communications and resolve issues for timely support.
• Schedule and assign drivers in compliance with contracts, DOT regulations, and safety.
• Ensure distribution activities meet QA, regulatory, and safety standards.
• Prepare fleet performance reports and maintain data in the Advanced Logistics System (PALS).
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service reliability, data integrity, and transport costs.
