Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 0 to 2 years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 3 to 5 plus years of related experience.
• Experience with dispatching or transportation planning is relevant and helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily routing, dispatching, and tracking of delivery vehicles for distribution and transportation planning orders.
• Monitor DOT compliance, productivity, safety, and identify process improvement opportunities with local management.
• Use dispatching and load creation software to determine lowest cost delivery solutions and improve DSD processes and data for driver productivity.
• Provide daily communications to distribution centers and delivery teams on labor and equipment needs based on volume and workload.
• Track route performance and logistics via data from computer systems; review on-board data for hours-of-service issues and flag compliance problems and customer issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily routing, dispatching, and tracking delivery vehicles of distribution and transportation planning orders
• Monitors DOT Compliance, productivity, safety, and assists local management on identifying areas of improvement with the process
• Utilize dispatching and load creation software to identify and provide the lowest cost delivery solutions with continuous improvement of DSD processes and database of information to identify improvements in driver productivity
• Provide daily communication to distribution center and delivery minimum expectations on labor and equipment needs based on volume and workload
• Monitors route performance and logistics through analysis of data from computer systems and reviews on-board data for hours-of-service problems and gives daily feedback of compliance problems and customer issues
• Other duties as assigned
