Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Materials Packager for a not-to-exceed assignment in the United States. You will pack and re-pack materials, verify condition codes, and determine packing methods in accordance with military standards and regulatory requirements (HAZNAT, RAD).

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 months general work experience, and the ability to obtain an MHE license within 30 days. Travel and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three months general work experience; no specific experience required.
• Must be able to obtain MHE license within 30 days of selection.
• Packers handling hazmat materials may require training.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material per DLA regulations.
• Ensures material is preserved/packaged/marked/labeled per Military Standards prior to release.
• Selects proper size container and cushioning to protect material.
• Conduct basic inspection/examination procedures for material.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• May operate MHE to load/unload material.
• Receive and input data to DSS and other systems; prepare basic reports.
• Count, weight, record data, and apply tags/labels.
