Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; transportation or logistics education/experience preferred.
• Read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, or government regulations.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from personnel, customers, and the public.
• Calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Type 40 words per minute; use 10-key and keyboard for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; sit, stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Record details of business transactions in ledgers or forms and transfer entries as needed.
• Compute totals, discounts, and extensions for accounts.
• Record daily events in the computer system and update equipment status.
• Monitor trailer movements to aid planning and reconcile timecard or weight data.
• Enter information on the computer system and generate statistical reports.
• Answer phones and route calls to the appropriate person.
• Travel between facilities as needed and perform miscellaneous errands.
