Job summary

Primary Services in Houston seeks an entry-level Logistics Coordinator to support the full movement of materials from suppliers to customers. You will coordinate orders, transportation, inventory, and documentation while learning how to resolve real-time logistics issues.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in a related field, up to 2 years of logistics experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills. Internship or prior exposure to logistics is welcomed, with opportunities to grow in operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Up to 2+ years of logistics, freight, transportation, export, supply chain, or related experience preferred.
• Internship, academic, or professional exposure to logistics or supply chain operations welcomed.
• Customer service or account management experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of purchase orders, bills of lading, shipment tracking, or transportation documentation preferred.
• Basic understanding of logistics KPIs, transportation costs, and shipment performance preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple orders, shipments, deadlines, and operational priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily supply chain, transportation, production, and customer order activities.
• Organize operational requirements and documentation across customers, service providers, production teams, and transportation partners.
• Coordinate safe and timely shipment pickups and deliveries.
• Prepare, review, and route purchase orders, bills of lading, and other logistics documentation.
• Track shipments, costs, delivery timelines, and operational productivity.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely shipment and order updates.
• Investigate and resolve shipment, transportation, and inventory issues.
• Maintain and monitor operational KPIs to identify service and efficiency opportunities.
• Analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements to customer service and operational performance.
• Support business development and supply chain teams with customer growth initiatives.
• Proactively track customer and service provider requirements and upcoming needs.
• Monitor service provider performance and address operational issues.
• Support minor service provider pricing discussions and negotiations.
• Maintain accurate and current information within internal systems.
