Logistics Operations Specialist

Orlando, FL (Onsite)

Position Summary

Thales is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist responsible for advanced logistics tasks including core warehouse operations, inventory management, and service order support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Handle complex shipments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely processing.
2. Mentor and train team members in logistics and SAP processes; recommend process improvements to increase efficiency; participate in cross-functional meetings to optimize material flow.
3. Review and validate customer repair orders and scopes of work.
4. Create and maintain accurate work orders in SAP, including warranty and financial details; generate subcontract purchase orders for external repairs.
5. Coordinate with internal and external teams for timely repairs; serve as point of contact for customer financial releases and shipping readiness.
6. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of SAP experience.
• 3+ years of inventory control or shipping & receiving experience.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work in any area of Materials as needed.

Position Requirements

• Shift work (1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts) with possible rotation, including weekends and holidays; overtime may be required.
• Moderate physical activity, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
• Domestic travel up to 5%.
