TOP Group - Japanese Recruiting Agency is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist for their Austin location. In this role, you will manage all aspects of global logistics operations, including import/export shipments and vendor management.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in logistics, especially in the semiconductor or electronics industries. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of export and import logistics experience is required.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high tech manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong understanding of import/export regulations, inventory, and freight control.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities including POs, RFQs, and vendor selection.
• Review supplier quotations based on cost, lead time, and value.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and ensure policy compliance.
• Resolve invoice and order discrepancies while maintaining accurate records.
• Oversee export/import documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and maintain audit-ready records.
• Plan and coordinate domestic and international export/import shipments.
• Monitor shipments, resolve delays, and manage freight partners.
• Provide shipment updates to internal and global teams.
• Oversee packaging, labeling, and handling of shipments.
• Support inventory of shipping materials and assist with physical logistics tasks.
• Investigate any shipment discrepancies and communicate them to management.
• Support process improvements, reporting, and cost tracking.
• Assist across departments and handle additional logistics-related tasks.

Logistics Operations Specialist

Location: Austin TX 4 days a week on site

Type: Full-time Direct Hire- Exempt

Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities including POs, RFQs, and vendor selection
• Review supplier quotations based on cost, lead time, and value
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and ensure policy compliance
• Resolve invoice and order discrepancies while maintaining accurate records
• Oversee export/import documentation and ensure regulatory compliance (EAR, ITAR, HTS)
• Coordinate with customs brokers and maintain audit-ready records
• Plan and coordinate domestic and international export/ import shipments
• Monitor shipments, resolve delays, and manage freight partners
• Provide shipment updates to internal and global teams
• Oversee packaging, labeling, and handling of shipments
• Support inventory of shipping materials and assist with physical logistics tasks
• Investigate any shipment discrepancies, damages, hods and communicate any discrepancies to management, sales and HQ
• Support process improvements, reporting, and cost tracking
• Assist across departments and handle additional logistics-related tasks as needed
• Support cross border shipment updates to Japan HQ

Qualifications

• 3+ years of export and import logistics experience
• Prefer experience in the semiconductor, electronics or high tech manufacturing industries
• Strong understanding of import/export regulations, inventory and freight control
• Experience with ERP/ MRP systems
