Job summary

Hohmann & Barnard Inc. in the Marmon Holdings family seeks a Shipping and Receiving Manager to lead warehouse, shipping, receiving, and transportation operations. You will drive best-in-class processes, improve efficiency, and ensure safe, cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse or transportation settings, plus strong knowledge of inventory control and distribution. Travel ~10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Five or more years of progressive experience supervising warehouse, shipping, receiving, or transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, distribution processes, and operational best practices.
• Experience managing LTL, flatbed, full-truckload, and multi-stop transportation requirements.
• Working knowledge of freight rates, accessorial charges, carrier selection, route planning, and related practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of warehouse, shipping, receiving, and transportation services.
• Strategically manage shipping and receiving operations in alignment with policies and service expectations.
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and performance oversight for all shipping and receiving personnel.
• Develop work schedules, assign resources, establish priorities, and evaluate results to support safe and efficient operations.
• Design and maintain warehouse layouts and material-flow processes to maximize space utilization, productivity, and safety.
• Oversee stock control and inventory reconciliation, ensuring accurate transactions and alignment with data-management systems.
• Ensure incoming/outgoing products are inspected and verified for conformance with quality, quantity, packaging, and documentation requirements.
