Logistics Operations Manager – 3PL & Supply Chain

Location:Cranbury, NJ (3-5 days/week), Midtown, Manhattan(1-2 days/week)

Salary:$90–$130K (DOE)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experiencedLogistics Operations Managerto oversee logistics, fulfillment, and 3PL operations across North America.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who can work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues, improve warehouse and fulfillment performance, and ensure accurate and efficient inventory operations.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands‑on logistics professional who does not simply monitor 3PL performance, but actively works with logistics partners to solve problems, improve processes, and ensure reliable day‑to‑day operations.

Experience inretail logistics, e-commerce, consumer goods, or a similar high‑volume distribution environment is highly preferred. However, candidates from other industries with strong experience in logistics, supply chain management, warehouse operations, and 3PL management will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships and operations with3PL partners and distribution centers
• Identify operational issues and work directly with 3PL partners to develop and implement solutions
• Oversee inbound, outbound, warehouse, e-commerce fulfillment, and returns operations
• Maintain inventory accuracy and effective inventory control across the logistics network
• Monitor receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and fulfillment performance
• Manage shipment tracking and transportation performance across domestic and international shipments
• Establish and monitor KPIs for 3PL performance, inventory accuracy, fulfillment, service levels, and logistics costs
• Lead regular performance reviews with 3PL partners and drive continuous improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency
• Partner with internal teams including E-Commerce, Merchandising, Finance, IT, and other business functions
• Support future business growth and logistics network expansion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, distribution, or related operations
• Strong experience managing 3PL providers and warehouse operations
• Proven ability to identify operational problems, determine root causes, and implement practical solutions
• Experience with inventory management, inbound/outbound operations, fulfillment, and transportation
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, or a similar distribution environment is highly preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and vendor management skills
• Ability to be both hands‑on with daily operations and strategic in improving logistics processes
• Experience working with multiple distribution locations or 3PL partners is a plus
