Job summary

ID Logistics US is seeking an Operations Manager to lead multi-site supply chain operations, focusing on performance, safety, P&L management, and continuous improvement. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of management in a high-volume 3PL, distribution, warehouse and transportation environment.
  • Experience with high-volume e-commerce fulfillment.
  • Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen exposure preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS and metrics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Direct operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to meet objectives and customer expectations.
  • Develop short- and long-term goals for performance and profitability.
  • Oversee warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations across sites.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and root-cause analysis for performance gaps.
  • Ensure safety programs for associates and equipment are implemented and maintained.
  • Maintain compliance with company, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage budget and P&L for operations.
  • Plan staffing levels and control labor costs and overtime.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.

Position Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply chain operation. The Operations Manager provides overall direction and oversight in the areas of performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.
  • Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives.
  • Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
  • Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime and retention.
  • Maximizes quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause, corrective action and training needs.
  • Participate in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor and/or site requirements.
  • Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports.
  • Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our associates and customer.

Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years management experience and comprehensive knowledge in a high volume fast paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, and transportation environment.
  • High volume e-commerce experience
  • Strong background in both inbound or outbound
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and other metrics measurement tools.
  • Strong presentation, writing and speaking proficiency.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with ADP platforms, including WorkForce Now, WorkForce Manager, ADPRM helpful.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the operation's needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or Logistics or business-related field preferred.
  • 3PL experience.
