Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Operations Intern Fall 2026 in the Supply Chain department. This part‑time role will support customers by learning transportation and logistics operations under close supervision.

You will gain exposure to freight planning, asset utilization, safety, DOT compliance, driver payroll and logistics analysis while developing industry knowledge and practical skills for a career in transportation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily tasks including freight planning, asset utilization, safety, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis.
• Learn industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention.
• Perform account-specific duties as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.
