Job summary

Axiom Optics in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to oversee daily shipping operations, office administration, and internal coordination. You will ensure orders ship accurately and on time, manage documentation, and support cost tracking in a fast-paced technical environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys ownership, solves problems, and improves processes while coordinating with sales, suppliers, customers, and management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, operations, or office administration.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Available to work 40 hours per week on-site.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with shipping carriers and logistics documentation.
• Strong communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all domestic and international shipments from order processing through final delivery.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers including DHL, UPS, FedEx, freight forwarders, and others.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation: packing lists, certificates of origin, customs paperwork.
• Track shipments and resolve delivery issues, customs delays, carrier problems.
• Coordinate returns, RMAs, and replacement shipments.
• Maintain shipping cost records and improve logistics tracking processes.
• Manage relationships with freight carriers and negotiate shipping solutions when needed.
• Coordinate incoming/outgoing product shipments with suppliers and customers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory management.
• Receive, inspect, organize, and prepare products for shipment.
• Support order processing from sales confirmation through delivery.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
• Office operations: manage daily office operations, supplies, vendors, and facilities.
