Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Logistics Business Analyst to partner with logistics teams and customers, coordinating inbound/outbound operations, inventory, warehousing, and transportation to optimize costs.

The role focuses on billing data analysis, cross-functional collaboration with finance and sales, and ensuring accurate customer billing and efficient supply chain execution. On-site work in a warehouse environment with a strong emphasis on process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of supply management principles and practices.
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Yard Management Systems (YMS).

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and prepare customer billing data in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
• Ensure premises, assets, and communication ways are used effectively.
• Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures.
• Manage incoming calls and customer service inquiries.
• Identify and assess customer needs to exceed satisfaction.
• Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs.
• Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
• Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
• May perform customer billing functions such as: Collaborate with finance and sales professionals to maintain accounts receivable.
• Compile and process information such as prices, discounts, shipping rates, etc.
• Ensure customers are billed correctly for services offered.
• Participate in cross-training and other projects as assigned by supervisor.
