Job summary

Fleet Farm is seeking a Logistics Manager in the West Des Moines area to provide leadership and direction for the Freight, Stocking, and Warehouse Teams. You will oversee receiving, yard operations, backroom management, and staffing in partnership with HR.

You will coach and mentor a diverse team, implement effective processes, and actively promote customer loyalty programs and company initiatives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business/marketing or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience with a Big Box retailer is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Warehouse Team activities including daytime receiving, yard operations, return-to-vendor programs, pick/pack and ship, and backroom ownership.
• Oversee Freight Team activities including receiving deliveries, staging, splitting trucks, and stocking as needed.
• Oversee Stocking Team to ensure staged product is stocked to planogram locations and presented per standards, including back stock.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure logistics areas are staffed with qualified Team Leads and Team Members.
• Teach, train, coach, develop and mentor the team to ensure consistent execution.
• Promote Fleet Farm loyalty programs, credit card usage and other company initiatives.
