Job summary

Fleet Farm in West Des Moines, IA seeks a Logistics Manager to lead the Freight, Stocking and Warehouse teams, driving safe, efficient store logistics and operations.

You will coach and develop your team, implement process improvements, manage staffing with HR, and ensure execution aligns with planograms and company initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role with flexibility for days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3 years of management experience with a Big Box retailer preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build relationships in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to direct and motivate a diverse population including full- and part-time team members.
• Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, plan and delegate tasks, monitor and achieve goals, and respond to change.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Warehouse Team activities: daytime receiving, yard operations, return to vendor programs, pick pack and ship, and backroom ownership.
• Oversee Freight Team activities: receiving deliveries, staging, splitting trucks, and stocking as needed.
• Oversee Stocking Team to ensure staged product is stocked to correct planogram locations and presented according to standard, including back stock.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure logistics areas are staffed with qualified Team Leads and Team Members.
• Teach, train, coach, develop and mentor your team to ensure consistent execution.
• Promote Fleet Farm customer loyalty programs, credit card, and other company initiatives.
