Job summary

Firehawk in Lawton, Oklahoma is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead shipping, receiving and material flow in a high‑volume production environment. The role begins as a working manager and will evolve into a leadership position overseeing logistics for a large facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• At least 10 years of logistics experience with energetics or hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of government contracting and defense logistics systems.
• Experience in contract and facility startup operations.
• Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse practices.
• Thrives in fast-paced production environments.
• Hands-on management style with growth into leadership.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Expert knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (49 CFR, IATA DGR, IMDG).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse ops for materials and weapon systems.
• Develop processes for inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and transport.
• Coordinate transportation with government agencies, suppliers, and carriers.
• Manage warehouse operations and hazardous materials storage controls.
• Oversee contract and facility startup activities and ramp-ups.
• Implement safety, accuracy, and throughput improvements.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, safety, and quality teams.
• Build and mentor logistics team as facility scales.
• Negotiate logistics contracts and maintain vendor relations.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and DoD regulations.
• Work with engineering on packaging specs.
• Troubleshoot logistics challenges and implement solutions.
