Job summary

Firehawk Aerospace, Addison, TX, seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to lead shipping, receiving and material flow in a high‑volume production environment. Initially a working manager, the role will evolve into a leadership position across a multi‑location defense support organization, focusing on safe handling and scalable systems.

You will partner with production, procurement and safety teams, implement best practices, manage hazardous materials, and drive data‑driven performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 10+ years logistics experience in energetic materials or defense.
• Experience with government contracting and defense logistics systems.
• Hands-on startup of contracts and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Develop efficient inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and transport workflows.
• Coordinate transportation with government agencies, suppliers, and carriers.
• Manage hazardous materials storage and safety programs.
• Lead contract and facility startup activities and ramp-ups.
• Drive safety, accuracy, and throughput improvements across logistics functions.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, safety, and quality teams.
• Build and mentor a growing logistics team as operations scale.
• Negotiate transport and logistics contracts; maintain vendor relationships.
