Job summary

Pentagon Technologies, located in Portland, OR, seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee inbound/outbound transportation, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as the primary contact for carriers and suppliers.

You will develop logistics processes, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, Regulatory, and Accounting to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The role requires 3–5 years in logistics and an associate degree; a Bachelor's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or related field and 3–5 years in logistics/transportation.
• Strong knowledge of domestic/international transportation regulations and trade compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of an organization.
• Proficient with MS Office and logistics software platforms (TMS/WMS/ERP).
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support logistics process development, implementation, and improvement.
• Oversee daily shipping, receiving, inventory, purchasing, and production planning activities.
• Serve as primary logistics contact for carriers, suppliers, and customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Operations, Regulatory, Accounting, suppliers, and customers to meet business objectives.
• Develop standardized logistics documentation, record retention, and reporting.
• Analyze KPI performance to reduce costs, improve carrier selection, and enhance satisfaction.
• Negotiate freight rates and review freight invoices for accuracy; resolve disputes.

This role is responsible for managing the efficient movement of materials while ensuring compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
