Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Logistics Manager at its Austin site to lead production scheduling, inventory alignment, and cross-functional logistics operations. You will coordinate with suppliers, customers, and purchasing while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and CSR requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in materials or supply chain with JIT/JIS exposure and strong leadership. English proficiency is required; APICS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Min 5+ years in Materials or Supply Chain
• Experience in JIT/JIS manufacturing environment
• Understanding end-to-end supply chain processes and problem-solving
• APICS certification or training preferred
• Working knowledge of SAP or other MRP systems
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, CSR, and ISO 14001 standards
• Tier 1 automotive supplier experience is preferred
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• English proficiency required (bilingual a plus)

Responsibilities

• Lead production scheduling to ensure 100% on-time delivery in a JIT/JIS environment and optimize costs.
• Review daily and weekly material requirements and align inventory with KPIs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and purchasing to resolve supply chain issues.
• Supervise and support the logistics team across all shifts.
• Manage inbound/outbound shipments, warehouse activities, and warranty returns.
• Support PPAP and PSO activities for product launches and validations.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer requirements.
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce PPE usage.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain 5S in logistics and warehouse areas.
• Maintain effective communication with logistics partners and key stakeholders

Contract Details

• Job Title: Logistics Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead production scheduling to ensure 100% on-time delivery in a JIT/JIS environment while optimizing costs.
• Review daily and weekly material requirements and align inventory levels with KPIs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and purchasing to resolve supply chain issues and ensure continuity.
• Supervise and support the logistics team across all shifts to maintain consistent operations.
• Manage inbound/outbound shipments, warehouse activities, and warranty return processes.
• Support PPAP and PSO activities to ensure successful product launches and process validation.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Promote a safe work environment, enforce PPE usage, and act on safety or quality concerns, including stopping production if needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S standards within the logistics and warehouse areas.
• Ensure effective use of systems and maintain communication with logistics partners and key stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Materials or Supply Chain role.
• Experience in a Just-In-Time (JIT) and Just-In-Sequence (JIS) manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and problem-solving techniques.
• APICS certification or training preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP or other MRP systems.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, CSR (Customer Specific Requirements), and ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience with DCX material flow and Covisint systems is an asset.
• Tier 1 automotive supplier experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• English proficiency required (bilingual skills are a plus).
