Job summary

Nestlé is expanding its Rockingham County, VA-border facility and seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to lead safety, quality and cost-efficient operations. You will drive order management, shipping schedules and transportation execution to ensure on-time delivery and optimal fill rates.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of leadership in logistics or supply chain, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration with leadership teams.

Position Summary

One of our newest factories, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. With a strong focus on sustainability and safety, this facility is committed to doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Logistics Manager, you will lead the Logistics department ensuring plant and Company objectives are achieved in the areas of Safety, Quality, customer satisfaction, operational and cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement. You will actively participate as a member of the factory leadership team, helping to implement standards across the warehouse.

  • Lead a team of warehouse associates tracking performance management, career development and operational goal achievement.
  • Monitor and direct order management, warehouse shipping schedules and transportation execution to achieve on-time delivery and order fill rates.
  • Responsible for staffing, scheduling and managing the warehouse leadership team.
  • Lead development and implementation of warehouse strategies including policies, procedures and goals.
  • Monitor costs daily and develop the annual department budget and ensure execution of plan to achieve cost objectives.
  • Collaborate with divisional and corporate leaders regularly on company Logistics goal alignment.
  • Evaluate equipment and facility upgrades to support continuous improvement.
  • Develop innovative programs to continuously improve cost, quality and service.
  • Collaborate with external business partners; vendors, carriers, other service providers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • Experience: 3+ years' leadership experience within a logistics, operations planning, distribution center or supply chain related environment.

The approximate yearly pay range for this position is $90,730 - $137,940. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
