The ideal candidate will lead, mentor, and develop sizable teams, optimize warehouse processes, and coordinate with senior management and customers to meet demands. The position offers an exempt salary in the $70,000–$80,000 range plus an annual bonus up to 10%.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Three+ years relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• Two+ years managing and leading direct reports.
• Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations (advanced).
• Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements (advanced).

Responsibilities

• Manage salaried and hourly employees; resolve performance issues and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and operate the account to meet demands.
• Be responsible for payroll of employees.

We are hiring a Logistics Manager in Bay City, MI supporting Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division.

• Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
• Annual Salary Pay: $70,000-$80,000
• Annual Bonus: up to 10% of base salary
• Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday
• Hours: 5:00pm-5:00am
• Extensive warehouse leadership, knowledge, and process optimization experience is preferred
• Success in leading, mentoring, and developing large teams is highly desirable
• Experience managing in a large distribution center is preferred.

Summary

The Manager Logistics is responsible to manage all activities associated with the efficient operation of accounts. This includes P&L responsibility, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations and safety.

Essential Functions

• Manage the performance of salaried employees as well as hourly paid employees under his/her responsibility, resolve performance issues, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine their needs and expectations and operate the account to meet those demands.
• Be responsible for the payroll of employees.
• Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statement to determine account profitability, and provide financial data and weekly operations report to senior management.
• Be responsible for accounts payable, vendor quotes for purchased materials, and customer invoicing.
• Hold Safety & Security meetings, provide safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Compensation Information

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
